The 2016 Ride for Justice and PEACEnic a Huge Success
Thank you to the following people and organisations for their amazing support of making this day a memorable one for so many people.
Simon Bouda - Senior Crime Reporter Channel 9 & Karin Bouda, who organised the Ride for Justice - this was the fourth ride and each year there are more riders and pillions who ride for such a great cause.
Thank you to all the people from the Sydney Cricket Ground who made the day such a success, giving the riders an experience never to be forgotten and also for putting on a great breakfast.
Tony Fitzgerald, once again you put class and the sense of wonder to the parade of bikes. Your cars and drivers take many of us to a walk back into our past, never have you said you couldn't help us - we are so indebted to you for your kindness and great support.
Rotary Club of Wetherill Park who once again fourth year in a row have shopped, cooked and provided the drinks for the day. All funds after expenses were donated to Grace's Place. Please keep the 10th December 2016, for their Carols night that is being organised to give people attending a great day and also to raise money for children's charities this year - Grace's Place will be one of the beneficiaries. Thank you to Rick, Roy, Margaret, and all the team.
Rotary Club of Blacktown, we thank you so much for this year coming along and helping the Rotary Club of Wetherill Park a hand in cooking for over 500 people, it was wonderful having Retired Detective Inspector Gary Raymond leading the sausage cooking.
Parramatta - Hills Retired Police Association, thank you to so many of you that came along to help with selling merchandise, helping with the serving of food and preparation. A special thank you in particular to Naomi, Nick, Sandy, Paul, Colleen, Neil who time after time keep coming back to help us in so many ways.
Our Lady of Lourdes - Lend A Hand Committee, who do so much for the HVSG, not only do they organise the cake stall and tea and coffee for the day but they twice a year organise the working bees at Ebony and Ivory Houses to make sure that they are clean, repaired and beautiful for the families who go and stay there for so many much needed reasons. To Debbie and the team thank you so much.
Bendigo Bank - how could we have looked after all of the bikes without your help. Thank you so much for all the staff from the Bendigo Bank who helped us and continue to do so time and time again. Thank you for the Bendigo Pig also for coming along for a visit. Bec Robertson thank you so much for always coming through for us.
Kings School Band who entertained us - these boys are so talented and we thank them so much for volunteering their time and their talents. So many of our attendees gave us feedback about how professional they were. Thank you.
Janet Behr for the Children's Face Painting, once again Janet and her band of helpers did a wonderful job thrilling so many of the children.
Thank you to Montecatini Speciality Smallgoods from Penrith for donating all of the sausages for todays BBQ. A special thank you to Roland Melosi, your generosity is truly appreciated.

It is a day where we all Unite Against Violence.
Ride For Justice
“Ride for Justice” Organised by Channel 9’s Simon Bouda, motor bike riders will be riding to raise awareness and support the Homicide Victims’ Support Group.
Riders will be members of the emergency services, media, law and criminal justice system (police, ambulance, fire fighters and armed forces). The ride will commence at Sydney Cricket Ground and finish at Parramatta Park at the PeaceNic location.
We hope that you can be there to welcome the riders and join us for this special day.

Homicide Victims’ Support Group is hosting PeaceNic 2016, an annual event that promises to be a wonderful day for the whole family with entertainment and activities.
This is a day for HVSG members and the community to acknowledge all homicide victims and their families and to create awareness that any type of violence can lead to death.
So, gather your family, friends, picnic blankets and baskets and come along for a great day in support of a wonderful and worth while cause.
FREE Jumping Castle & Entertainment Sausage sizzle, cake stall, fairy floss, slushies, HVSG merchandise and other goodies available for sale on the day.
All welcome to bring a picnic blanket or chairs, bicycles and join us at this beautiful location in Parramatta for a fun filled family day, or just take some time out to relax and enjoy this annual event.
The park has a 3.2km walking or cycling lane that loops the park and an amazing playground for the kids.
